Eighty speakers from 16 countries will be in Montreal for discussions on the theme of <strong><em>The Value(s) of Cultural Districts<\/em><\/strong>. In all, there will be some 40 talks and workshops. The GCDN is a group of urban arts and cultural centers whose leaders are invited to cooperate and share knowledge on the design, financing, construction and management of cultural districts.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, <strong>May 25<\/strong>, a day with a special focus on <strong>Montreal\u2019s cultural ecosystem<\/strong>, the <strong>managers of local public spaces<\/strong> and <strong>local creators<\/strong> will take part in a day of discussions and networking focused on the <strong>development<\/strong> and <strong>dynamism of cultural districts<\/strong>. Creators will share their vision and work aimed at amplifying the vitality of cities and contributing to the transformation of urban life. The conference will be an opportunity to meet more than <strong>200 managers<\/strong> of cultural districts and venues, experts and decision makers from around the world.<\/p>\n<p>The choice of dates for this major event was made to coincide with other international cultural events, particularly Festival TransAm\u00e9riques and C2 Montr\u00e9al, in order to offer participants a rich and diverse cultural experience. The convergence of events will allow visitors to make the most of their time in Montreal, with opportunities to discover multiple facets of the city and its cultural ecosystem.
