Strengthen Intergenerational and Intercultural Dialogue Through QDSinternational Installations

Art has always been a powerful means of communication between cultures and generations. Today, through the interactive installations of QDSinternational, this connection takes on a new dimension by allowing diverse audiences to share a common experience. By combining light, sound, movement, and participation, our artworks create a space where everyone can express themselves, regardless of age or background.

An intergenerational dialogue facilitated by shared experience

Interactive installations encourage the transmission and exchange between generations. By placing interaction at the heart of the artwork, they allow both young and older visitors to experience a shared moment, fostering discussion and the exchange of perspectives.

  • Active engagement: Unlike traditional art, which is often contemplative, interactive art invites action, breaking down barriers between spectators of different generations.
  • An accessible experience: By engaging a variety of senses, these installations captivate both children and adults, providing a common ground for expression.

Discover the case study of Lucia and the real impact of this installation on intercultural dialogue.

The Lucia art installation, part of the In bocca al lupo series, is a creation by Studio Mirari and multimedia artist Anne Lagacé. Designed as an immersive and participatory experience, Lucia redefines urban space into a place of connection, creativity, and social interaction. This study highlights the tangible results and positive outcomes of its deployment during the Plaisirs d’Hiver event organized by Brussels Major Events (BME), analyzing its accessibility, public engagement, and cultural and economic impact.

Impact and Legacy of Interactive Installations

The benefits of an interactive installation far exceed the mere artistic experience. They contribute to urban revitalization, encourage cohabitation, and strengthen the sense of belonging to a diverse community.

  • A tool for social inclusion: By giving each participant an active role, these works elevate all voices and foster a sense of recognition.
  • A collective memory: These experiences leave a lasting impact on participants, who leave with a shared memory to carry and pass on.

The interactive installations offered by QDSinternational provide a new form of meeting and sharing, encouraging exchanges between generations and cultures. These immersive works create spaces where every individual—whether young or old, local or international—can come together and participate actively. Far beyond a simple artistic experience, they become vehicles for social inclusion, strengthening community bonds and collective memory. By redefining urban spaces as areas for interaction and creativity, they contribute to a more open, connected, and supportive society.
