This event was part of the 15th edition of 𝗟𝗨𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗢, an event that has reinvented the design of public spaces in winter by adding an artistic and interactive dimension that highlights the city beyond its borders.
The event was a unique opportunity to reflect on the design of public spaces through digital art, expanding the dialogue around the development and animation of public spaces, with a particular focus on digital creativity and new approaches to design. We were especially pleased to welcome the Public Space Design and Animation Committee of Quebec, chaired by Mrs. Chantal Deschamps, former mayor of Repentigny, whose mission is to promote greater intermunicipal synergy and strengthen the skills in public space animation through Francophone culture and the arts.
At LUMINO PRO, we had the pleasure of welcoming various stakeholders in urban design, public space managers, digital artists, event producers, as well as participants from politics, business, and tourism. Decision-makers and public space actors from abroad were also present, at the invitation of QDSinternational, to experience LUMINO and share best practices from their respective territories.
We would like to thank the delegations that actively supported us: the Québec Government Office in New York, the Québec Government Office in Houston, the Québec Government Office in Los Angeles, and the Bureau du Québec à Toronto.
We also extend our thanks to our partners Partenariat du Quartier des spectacles, Ministère de la Culture et des Communications, SODEC, Canadian Heritage, the Public Space Design and Animation Committee of Quebec, its members and its chairperson Chantal Deschamps, the Canadian Urban Institute, Design Montréal, Culture Montréal, and DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal.
