Reconnect to the natural world with an interactive experience that brings together light, sound and texture, allowing art, science and nature to flourish.
You are invited to spin these unique sculptures, which are inspired by the shape of radiolaria, tiny, one-celled creatures found throughout the ocean. Their astonishingly beautiful, silica-based skeletons make up much of the ocean bottom. The name means ‘little rays of sunlight’. Radiolaria transform light into sugar, which in turn feeds the algae with which they have a symbiotic relationship.
At nightfall, the sculptures are illuminated from within, projecting beams of colourful light that dance around you, transforming the space into a luminescent ocean.
The accompanying sound from within the structures is an invitation to listen. A soft, progressive melody melds into the environment, creating harmony between you, the installation and the space.
