“Our public spaces are like our imaginations, they only have meaning if they are shared.” Éloge de l’air explores this adage through movement, interaction and cooperation, in a timeless experience that highlights air, light and flow.
Nine statuesque swings stand before you, each one supporting an immense flag; by taking a seat beneath the flag, you and a partner can move and sway your banner. During the day, the swathes of fabric capture and reflect light, with shimmering shades of gold and silver – a visual spectacle that fluctuates with the intensity of your movement. At night, beams of light replace the sun, infusing the flags and their frames with a magical ambience. The wind also interacts with the flags, creating a poetic, meditative atmosphere that will delight the senses.
