Since its creation, QDSi has been dedicated to creating interactive artistic experiences that transform public space and spark curiosity. Today, we are going even further with the launch of our brand-new cultural mediation program, which now accompanies the presentation of our installations around the world.
Cultural mediation aims to bring the public, artworks, and artists closer together. It helps to better understand a creation, place it in its context, and enrich everyone’s experience. For us, it is a way to:
make culture more accessible and inclusive,
spark curiosity and creativity,
encourage dialogue and exchange,
strengthen the sense of ownership of public spaces.
Our goal is to democratize access to art and provide keys of understanding for audiences of all ages. This way, our works become not only moments of wonder, but also spaces for reflection, dialogue, and discovery.
For each artwork included in the mediation program, a dedicated microsite is accessible via a QR code displayed on the installation’s signage. Visitors can explore interactive and multimedia content, including information about the artwork, the artists, and how the installation works.
For students and teachers, we have developed educational guides that offer avenues of reflection on a variety of themes such as astronomy, movement, and optics. These tools are designed to enrich the visit, spark curiosity, and connect the artistic experience to concrete fields of knowledge.
Already available for more than a dozen works in our catalogue, the mediation program is included free of charge with the rental of an installation.
