Mediation

A turnkey mediation program

At QDSi, we design interactive artistic experiences for everyone in public spaces. Accessibility and cultural democratization are at the heart of our mission. Our mediation program aims to encourage audiences to engage with our works and to enrich both individual and collective visitor experiences.

Already available for more than a dozen artworks in our catalogue, the mediation program is included with the rental of an installation.

Public microsites accessible via QR codes

For each artwork benefiting from the mediation program, a dedicated microsite is available through a QR code integrated into the installation’s signage. Visitors can explore interactive and multimedia content, including:

  • Additional information about the artwork, the artist, the creative intention, and the artistic approach
  • Activity suggestions for direct interaction with the artwork
  • Reflection questions
  • A public feedback feature or visitor comment section

Eligible artworks: Celestia, Éloge de l’air, Biolumen, Prismaphonik, Impulsion, Prismatica, Loop, Echo, Splinter, Effet domino, Iceberg, Entre les rangs.

Teaching guides for school groups

For students and their teachers, cultural mediators, or day camp leaders, we have developed educational guides offering key themes and avenues for reflection around the artworks. These tools enrich the visit, stimulate curiosity, and connect the artistic experience to concrete areas of learning.

Each guide includes a proposed pedagogical sequence:
Classroom preparation → on-site discovery and appreciation of the artwork → multidisciplinary follow-up activity.

Eligible artworks: Celestia, Éloge de l’air, Biolumen, Prismaphonik, Les diamants, Prismatica, Spectrum, Loop, Echo, Splinter, Effet domino, Pop!, Iceberg, Entre les rangs.

Supporting audiences, activating public spaces

Cultural mediation helps bring audiences, artworks, and artists closer together. It allows visitors to better understand a creation, situate it in its context, and deepen their experience. For us, it is a way to:

  • make culture more accessible and inclusive
  • stimulate curiosity and creativity
  • encourage dialogue and exchange
  • strengthen the sense of ownership of public spaces

Our goal is to democratize access to art and provide everyone—young and old—with keys to understanding. Our artworks thus become not only moments of wonder, but also spaces for reflection, dialogue, and discovery.

An added value for our partners

QDSi’s turnkey mediation program helps you:

  • guide and inform visitors through clear content about the artwork, its operation, and its context
  • equip your teams (mediation, reception, programming) with easy-to-use tools: microsites, thematic sheets, pedagogical resources
  • improve the quality of the visitor experience by giving them reference points to understand, interact with, or explore the installation

For institutions and events, this results in smoother visits, better engagement from diverse audiences, and reduced mediation needs on site.
